Respect your fellow players. This means no insulting, degrading, or battling of other players on this board. If you have an issue to work out, do it via email, instant messaging, private messaging, or come to a staff member about it to see if things can be worked out somehow.

Although this board holds potentially adult themed situations, don't go overboard with it. As in, don't make it your every thread or the majority of them. When a thread is moderately to heavily adult themed, place a warning in the title such as <M> or <R>.
3.>
Grammar, spelling, punctuation- these are all looked for here and you're asked to do your best in keeping them up. This is a semi to fully literal board. Text speech such as "What R U up 2 N E ways?" is not acceptable.
4.>
Posts are to be in third person, past tense form. Also keep in mind that your character or characters will only know what he or she has been told or has experienced.
5.>
No automatic hits or automatic dodging unless it was planned out with the other player or players. In other words, no god-modding. So this includes things such as the hitting and dodging as mentioned earlier, other forms of contact that make a significant difference, having another person's character saying something that was not said by the character, and so on.

Out of character speech belongs in the "A whisper in the crowd..." area or in the chat. Keep it out of the roleplay area. Mind you, there are exceptions for short messages such as reservations for who is to reply to the post, and the occasional note on if it isn't minded that someone has joined an already on going thread.

Seeing how we are in the first plot currently, all unnatural business is to be done out of sight of the masses. For now, it is to be kept in a manner where the people of Richfield are oblivious to what is actually going on when it comes to things dealing with the Unseen.
8.>
The amount of characters that you take up relies on you. There is no actual number limit but you can only keep the amount of characters that you can handle without holding threads up for too long. If you're found lagging behind too much, you will be asked to discard one or more characters (even if temporarily) until activity has picked up to the point where you can increase your numbers again.

Speed Limit: 1 post three weeks minimum. Three weeks may seem long to some people but it's understood that things happen in the offline world that holds a person up and that sometimes it's hard to get a chance to post with a character. Though a steady pace would be desired, things happen. Three weeks should be long enough to get at least one post with each thread. If you're expecting to be unable to post for more than three weeks, give us a heads up in the "A whisper in the crowd..." forum or PM a staff member.
10.>
Do not start role playing with a character until you have filled out the application and it has been accepted. You get one warning before your account is frozen for a week or until your application has been reviewed depending on how many posts have been made before the character was accepted.
11.>
Posts are to be at least three hundred fifty words long. Three hundred and fifty words isn't an unreasonable amount and with the posting speed limit, it is even more reasonable.
12.>
Signature images are to be no more than 500w by 300h. This should prevent board stretching and from images taking up more space than the actual posts do.
13.>
Each character is to have a separate account. For some this might be a hassle but it keeps the confusion rate down.
